Email SMTP

You can enable email hosting for each domain you host at Shanje. Each email account you create can be accessed through POP3, IMAP, SMTP, and Webmail.

Our email servers listen for SMTP connection on well-known port 25 and on port 587. Port 25 is the standard SMTP port. Port 587 is an alternative port to use in the even that your local ISP decides to block outbound port 25. You can use 587 instead of port 25 in your email client software to access the SMTP service.

To send a message using our SMTP service, you must enable SMTP AUTH support in your email client software. If you do not use SMTP AUTH, you will not be allowed to relay email through our SMTP service. The SMTP AUTH option is often listed in the email client as "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
